This retreat is jam packed full with hiking, yoga experiences and delicious food in the breathtaking environment of the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.

FIVE yoga experiences lead by Dakotah and guest teacher Kendra Brouwer, to help you relax, recover from hiking and energize your days on retreat

FIVE meals prepared on site by our personal chef, Nicholas Skajewski

TWO nights & THREE days accommodation in a rustic, luxury cabin

ALL transportation during the retreat events – you get yourself to the cabin & back home but we drive you around once you arrive!

Friday

Arrive by 1:00 pm to settle into our rustic yet luxurious cabin for the weekend. Enjoy a refreshing yoga class with Dakotah to help you feel renewed from your long drive. Once you are stretched and ready to go, it will be time to set out on our first adventure. Enjoy an easy hike to see some picturesque waterfalls. Back at the cabin dinner will be prepared by our personal chef for the weekend, Nicholas Skajewski. We close the evening with a restorative movement and meditation session led by Dakotah and guest teacher, Kendra Brouwer. 

Saturday 

We start the day bright and early at 6:00 am with a yoga class on the deck with Kendra to get you energized and moving. Nicholas will serve up a delicious breakfast to fuel you for our adventurous day ahead. Jump in the van and enjoy the sights of scenic highways as we drive down to Custer State Park. You will have the opportunity to CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE this day. One option is a led hike up to Black Elk Peak for a moderate, yet long hike (roughly 7 mile loop). Imagine finally reaching the peak to sit down and enjoy a picnic lunch as you take in the views from the highest peak in South Dakota! The second option is enjoying a leisurely day at Sylvan Lake. Bring a hammock to hang out, paddle around in a kayak, go for a swim or enjoy some of the shorter hiking trails around the lake. When we arrive back at the cabin, Chef Nicolas will have a hearty and delicious dinner to renew your stomach and spirits from your adventures. Free time will be available for you to do what you wish – hop in the hot tub, put your feet up, grab a cup of tea and a rocking chair on the deck or challenge your new friends to some friendly competition downstairs in the game room, complete with air hockey, pool and ping pong. We will close out the night with Kendra leading yoga nidra, which will prepare you for an amazing night’s sleep.

Sunday

Dakotah will lead a final yoga class at 7:00 am to close out our weekend of adventure, and then we eat! One last delicious meal from Chef Nicholas will leave your mouth watering the entire way home. Check out from the cabin is at 10am.

Dakotah Jordan, RYT

Retreat Leader & Yoga Teacher

Dakotah is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher, Meditation & Breathwork Coach and Reiki Practitioner that is passionate about living yoga beyond the 4 walls of a typical studio. She brings an educational yet lighthearted approach to her teaching, inviting people to explore the priciples of rest, play and community. Fond of capturing the attention of yoga curious newbies, she focuses on slow flow vinyasa styles, yin and her signature Hike + Yoga events. Catch her anywhere from the trails, to your corporate office, or in a studio class to learn the benefits of yoga on and off your mat. 

 

 

Kendra Brouwer, RYT

Guest Yoga Teacher & Facilitator

Kendra has been teaching Yoga since 2008 and practicing since high school. She is well versed in many styles of yoga, but is especially fond of Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra. Kendra also founded Kosha Yoga School and offers Yoga teacher Trainings at the 200 hour level as well as continuing education. You can expect to leave one of her classes feeling like you moved your whole body and also found another layer of connection with yourself. Join her for a class soon!

Nicholas Skajewski

Private Chef

Nicholas has been involved in the culinary industry for over 8 years, and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon! He has a passion for culinary ingenuity and being on the forefront of all things technology. He enjoys all things technology, wood working, and DIY projects. When Nicholas is not at enjoying a hobby, he can be found creating custom menus and meals for private clients, catering events from intimate in-home dinners to elaborate wedding receptions, teaching cooking classes, mentoring culinary students, and constantly researching and refining his craft. Nicholas also truly enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters camping, playing and exploring.

Explore the Accommodations

 

All accommodation levels include all meals, snacks and beverages, yoga & hiking experiences, travel while we are in the Black Hills, as well as towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathrooms.

The prices listed below are per bed. There are two private rooms and all other spaces are a shared space. You can choose to purchase a bed for yourself or split the cost of the bed with a partner or friend, the total cost will be the same and again all meals, experiences etc. are included in the total cost whether it is just you or two of you in the bed. 

Non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to secure your spot. When you click one of the buttons below you will be redirected to a page for deposit payment. Once we have received your deposit you will be sent an email with an invoice for your remaining amount, a waiver and further details for the retreat. Private bedroom with king bed and private bathroom with oversized tub and waterfall shower to truly elevate your experience. 

Private Queen Room

Private bedroom with queen bed on the lower level of the cabin to give you some privacy and escape when you need it. 

The Loft

Shared sleeping space with 3 Queen beds in the loft. Enjoy a beautiful view inside and out of the cabin from this communal area.

 

 

The Bunk Room 

Shared sleeping space with 6 bunk twin beds. Perfect for the solo traveler who loves to immerse themselves in the community vibes of a retreat.
